For our location in Laatzen near Hanover, we are looking for a full-time position as soon as possible for an

Operations Director/ Operations Manager (m/f/d)

Your tasks

  • You will manage the Customer Service, Logistics, Asset Management departments in Laatzen and Operations at our site in Riedstadt from a technical and disciplinary perspective
  • You will develop and implement operational strategies to maximise efficiency, improve service quality and increase customer satisfaction for all of the above areas
  • You will be responsible for ensuring the flawless execution of all operational processes
  • You will be in charge of implementing and expanding the digitalization and automation of mission-critical processes
  • You create resilient and scalable processes for our continued growth
  • You will work in depth from A-Z, know every last detail of the process and can thus eliminate potential sources of error
  • You are able to independently recognise the need for action, are willing to actively tackle problems and can develop sustainable solutions independently and as part of a team

Your profile

  • Completed vocational training/studies in the technical or commercial field, transport/forwarding and/or warehouse logistics or a comparable qualification
  • Several years of professional experience including personnel management responsibility is required
  • Knowledge in the areas of logistics, packaging, container or load carriers is an advantage, but not essential
  • A self-motivated and confident leader who enjoys leading and motivating the team through presence, community spirit and a direct approach
  • Strong cost awareness, as well as high customer and quality orientation
  • Expertise in process analysis and implementation with the use of Microsoft Office
  • You have the ability to look beyond conventional perspectives and always keep the big picture in mind
  • You should be able to adapt quickly to changing conditions and react flexibly to challenges – we operate very dynamically
  • Very good German and solid English skills
